Having spanned close to 3 decades in the entertainment industry as an artist, LEEE JOHN has been an all round artist, singer, writer, record producer, actor and recently a film producer.
Leee came to the world’s attention with his group IMAGINATION which he founded in the early 80s. Imagination was signed by MORGAN KHAN after hearing track GOT TO BE GOOD. Produced by Trevor Horn (producer of Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Seal, Grace Jones to name but a few) , the master tape was sent to the US for reproduction but unfortunately got lost and the outcome looked bleak.
Leee was then introduced to producer Tony Swain and given a piece of music to write some lyrics and a melody. He went home and came up with what became IMAGINATION’s first gold record-the hit single BODY TALK. With hits such as IN AND OUT OF LOVE, FLASHBACK, MUSIC AND LIGHTS, IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT and JUST AN ILLUSION, millions of singles were sold internationally IMAGINATION also went platinum worldwide with sales in excess of 30 million albums as a result IMAGINATION were playing to sold out concerts across the globe.
IMAGINATION’s songs have also more recently been sampled by a number of major artists including Mariah Carey and The Pharcyde.
Leee and IMAGINATION made their mark not only as musicians but as true masters of stage and performance. They were known for their outrageous costumes and stage shows and as such were invited to perform for the Princes Trust, HRH Princess Diana and Prince Charles, Princess Caroline of Monaco, the Mandela family in South Africa for the charity OPERATION HUNGER and even for the Russian president at the Kremlin…
Since bursting onto the music scene in 1981 with his soul, fund group IMAGINATION singer Leee John has achieved that rare distinction of longevity and high profile in the fast changing and variable world of popular music. 2005 marked the coming of age for Leee John releasing a long awaited album “Feel My Soul”. The album gives you Leee in a Soul Jazz mode with original songs penned and produced by Leee alongside classic standards with modern arrangements. Coproduced by Eric Debeurge. Leee has worked during his career with producers and musicians including Preston Glass, Ron Kersey, Robert Kraft, Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, David Morales, Mark Kaymens and Mike Pickering.
Leee’s writing credits include Maxi Priest, Byron Stingley, Club 69, Jane Boisdur, Pete Hunningale, Alison Limerick and Ultimate Chaos. Leee has also written, recorded and produced with Nick Martinelli and Arthur Baker. He has grown up first hand in the entertainment industry and now invites you to join him in a new era the Soul Jazz Wold of Feel My Soul.
Leee appeared in the Big Brother House in France last year and performed for his housemates, he is the only Artist ever to perform live in the Big Brother House.

Lastly Leee will be embarking on a 20 + day Tour with Modern Romance in May of this year and he is in the studio putting together a special edition double CD of Imagination’s Greatest Hits due to be released this year
