Norman has been at the forefront of the British Blues scene for the last 3 decades and first came to the public’s attention in the late seventies whilst playing with legendary UK blues giants such as Alexis Korner, Graham Bond and Jack Bruce.

A self-taught guitarist, Norman, learnt to play the guitar at the tender age of seven.

Norman’s early influences were people like Lonnie and Hank Marvin though everyone who heard him play said he sounded like a blues guitarist. Elder brother Malcolm was a keen blues fan and introduced Norman to the likes of Howlin’ Wolf, Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters and Sonny Boy Williamson.

Norman Beaker can also be booked with Larry Garner. Garners powerful vocals and expressive musicianship make him a natural front man his songs are delivered with a sense of irony with lyrics that are both meaningful and amusing, added to this Larry has a wonderfully expressive voice, is a fine guitarist and a great performer. Larry was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he picked up on the Swamp Blues music popular in that area, inspired by artistes such as Silas Hogan and Clarence Edwards, he has won just about every award including WC Handy and BB King awards Like Larry, Norman’s songs are also full of social comment and modern day situations, this is a coming together of two modern day Troubadours with something new to say.”

Norman Beaker can also be booked with Chris Farlowe. Chris maintains an impressive schedule of recording and European touring. He has become a firm favourite on the 60’s nostalgia circuit in addition to completing annual UK and European Tours.
